I was very impressed with both teams' performances today. Our girls all ran great times, and really pushed themselves for the whole race. Our boys ran an extremely intelligent race, and it paid off for them big time. Great job by everyone today!

05:06:02 - GAME DAY

Today's Workout: Game Day! Football, basketball, soccer, capture the flag, tag - basically a super long recess

Tomorrow's Plan: Meet against Gibbons Middle School (Westborough). Meet will start a little after 4pm at Delaney. Girls will run first, followed by the boys about 5-10 minutes later.

Team Picture: Please hustle down to the gym tomorrow and get into your uniform quickly. The yearbook will be there to take a team picture. If you have a club meeting tomorrow (like Jazz Band), ask your adviser if you can come a few minutes late.

T-Shirts: T-shirts have arrived! I just picked them up today and they look great! I will be passing them out on Thursday. 

Friday: Optional practice will be held at Delaney right after school. Again, you will have to arrange your own transportation to Delaney. We will start walking in at 2:45pm, so please try and arrive before then. If you are attending the state championship meet, I recommend that if you are available to come on Friday that you do so.

The back-to-back meets next week are a less-than-ideal setup. I'm considering running almost everybody against Groton-Dunstable, and giving some rest to the sore and wounded (while still fielding a competitive team) against St. Anna's. Any and all input on this topic is appreciated.


What to take away from today: It was a very hard course - probably the hardest you'll run all season. Your average miles will likely be slower than normal due to the added length, the rolling terrain, and the difficult footing. Don't be discouraged if you aren't satisfied with your time - you will have another meet on Wednesday at the same course to improve.
